Something new!

I was very happy to receive some new Scrapbooking material for Christmas. Of course, I had to try it out already.
First of all I got a "Birthday" embossing folder. As there are a couple of birthdays coming up in January I made a birthday card using the new staff.

New arrival in Oz!

My grandcousin in Australia welcomed a son a few days before Christmas. Of course, I had to make a baby card for him too.

Meanwhile, I use stamps from the Stampin'up set "Zoo Babies" for nearly every baby card.

Merry Christmas from me to you!

With this christmas card symbolising my little family I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and some peaceful days with your loved ones.

Once again, I used the "all in the family" stamp set from Stampin'up.

Christmas symbols!

A clean and simple card where I used 3 different washi tapes and christmas symbols.

Christmas in white and blue!

Another of my creations inspired by surfing Pinterest. I think it is one of my best Christmas cards this year. The dark blue and white contrast is beautiful!

Three ornaments!

I didn't make many cards using my ornament die cuts, but this is one of it. And i like it. It is clean and simple.

Under the mistletoe!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and I liked the idea of using buttons and brads for the mistletoes.

Die cut snowflakes

It doesn't look like it on the picture but I punched out the snowflakes from the white paper and put grey paper in the background and put a rhinestone in the middle of each snowflake. The sentiment is also stamped in grey.

Christmas Landscape

First, I bought a very nice christmas paper and then I didn't know how to use it.
So I created a Christmas landscape:

Fish also celebrate Christmas!

I totally love the "fishin' around" stamp from Stampin'up. Therefore, I thought about a way to use it for a christmas card, and voilá 2 little stamps from Depot suit perfectly for the fish bowl.

The white ribbon I used under the image shimmers very bright in order to recognise it is actually a white ribbon.

Christmas: white and one other color!

This is another creation where I used my Elizabeth Crafts Design snowflake die cut and their Silk Microfine Glitter.

Anything but a Christmas Card!

On Pinterest I got inspired using my Stampin'up set "make a cake" more often.

I used a very nice paper with glossy shamrocks for this birthday card and found the perfect ribbon to match.

Washi Tape Christmas Tree

For this card I got inspired by "Two Peas in a bucket" which I saw on Pinterest.
I liked the idea that the chain of lights was indicated by stitches. For the ornaments I used red brads. The candles, angel and presents are other stamps from the bunch I bought at Depot.

In the end this card is a little bit overloaded.

Snowflakes, snowflakes, snowflakes!

I bought a bunch of mini stamps from Depot. It includes a nice stamp of a snowflake which I used to create the following card. I added a few rhinestones to it. Unfortunately, you can hardly see them on the picture. The blue ribbon I used matches perfectly with the blue ink!

December Birthday boys, Part 2!

My best friend is turning a year older tomorrow. As I don't see him in person, I made him this birthday card and sent it by postal mail, hoping it arrives tomorrow.
I used "Fishin' around" from Stampin'up as my friend and his family got a fish bowl a couple of weeks ago. So I thought that suits. The party hats and the cake was an idea from Heather Klump I saw on Pinterest.

Christkind ornament!

I have such a cute stamp with a Christkind/angel which I haven't used very much so far.
So I got thinking of a way to use it best.
I like the outcome! It is one of my favorite Christmas cards I made this year!

White on white!

Again, I used my die cut snowflakes and the Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs to design this card.  I was inspired by a card from Sherry Eckblad.

I love the glitter effect! More and more, I like the creating of CAS cards.

December birthday boys, Part 1!

There are also some other occasions to celebrate in December except of Christmas. Two friends of mine are celebrating their birthdays on the same day and so I to find some time to make them a birthday card. This is the first card:

Oh, Tannenbaum!

In Austria, one of the most famous christmas songs is "Oh, Tannenbaum",
This title suits perfectly to this christmas card:

I used the embossing diffuser to receive a plane oval to place the ribbon christmas tree. I love the brown and green composition!

Fabric Birthday Wishes!

It was time again to use my sewing machine to create some cards.
I didn't use any glue this time and sewed everything on the card stock.
I like how the different shades of pink match so perfectly!

Snow Globe Christkind!

Here in Austria kids don't believe in Santa Claus but in the Christkind which lays the presents under the christmas tree on the evening of December 24.
With my Christkind stamp I created some kind of snow globe but instead of snow I used silver stars in the water.

Here comes ... the Penguin!

In my late pregnancy me and my mother crochetted some animals. She said they would be the first stuffed toys she can play with.
Among all animals in the book I chose the penguin as I loved his big nose and the big eyes.

Which hat belongs to Santa?

On Pinterest I saw a similar card by Wendy Frederick and I tried to copy it with my suppliers.

I used my santa hat stamp and used white Microfine Glitter for the brim.
The Santa with the Reindeer motive on the bottom is a roll stamp from Eduscho.

Shining Ornament!

The third card we made in our Christmas Card Workshop early November was this card:

Again, we used the heat embossing technique to create the shiny layer on the ornament. The sentiment is also the result of the heat embossing technique.

I will write the supplies for heat embossing on my Christmas wish list. I want to use it at home too!

Kartenchaos - Adventkalender

I am a regular reader of the "Kartenchaos"-Blog. Christine, the author, had a great idea for an Adventkalender. From today on, she is posting one card each 'til Christmas together with a tutorial.
I already checked out the first card.

Shining Christmas Tree!

In the Christmas Card workshop I did recently, we made the following card:

Againn, we used Silk Microfine Glitter and adhered it on the Transparent double sided adhesive from Elizeabeth craft design after we used the company's christmas tree die cut and created 5 layers. The white glitter imitates the snow we hopefully have on Christmas Eve.
For the first time I used the heat embossing technique to receive such a beautiful golden sentiment.

Unfortunately, on my photograph you don't see how beautiful the tree is shimmering.

Shimmering Snowflakes!

Now, that I have some Christmas utensils I have to use them. For the 3 Snowflakes I used the 757 - Snowflakes from Elizabeth craft designs. The white Silk Microfine Glitter adheres on the Transparent double sided adhesive from Elizeabeth craft designs.
In the center of each snowflake there is a pearl. To frame the picture I sewed around the edges with red twine.
Unfortunately, on this picture you can't see how beautiful the snowflakes shimmer.

Flagged!

I wanted to use my Washi Tapes again and created a simple Thank You Card. On the edge I sewed with red twine and glued a pink button to highlight it a bit.

Thanks for the Tea!

I purchased the "Nice and Easy Notes" set from Stampin'up. For a "Thank you Card" I used the nice tea pot. The eye catcher is a big red felt flower with a green button. I was in the mood to sew around the edges instead of using glue.

Let it snow!

Together with my best friend I attended a Christmas card making course last week. We have been very lucky, as we had a great teacher called Sandra, who showed us some completely new techniques.

Let it snow!

For this card we used Shimmer Sheetz from Elizabeth Craft Design and a snowflake embossing folder. For the 3 snowflakes we used the 757 - Snowflakes from Elizabeth craft designs. The Silk Microfine Glitter in 3 different colors adheres on the Transparent double sided adhesive from Elizeabeth craft designs. For the sentiment we also used a die, but I can't remember which one it was.

It is amazing how this snowflakes are shimmering!

Visit me on Pinterest!

Yesterday I created an account on Pinterest as I saw so many great scrapbooking card ideas which I want to imitate someday.
So, from now on you can see my projects also on:

http://www.pinterest.com/elisabethsachse/my-projects/

I also included a "Pinterst button" on my blog. I hope it is working. Maybe you can let me know.

Treasure Box for my Darling!

For her first birthday I made another treasure box for our little daughter. When she is old enough she can fill it with her treasures like hairslides, necklace, earrings, etc.
Of course, I used lots of pink, purple, glitter, flowers, washy tapes and lots more to decorate the cigar box.

Thank you card with Butterflies!

I made another "thank you" card using my butterfly corner punch.
The flower is a real eye catcher.

Thanks from the lawn gnome!

You always need some "Thank you" cards for various occasions.
I have a lovely paper with garden gnomes and snails which I wanted to use for quite a while so I created this card:

It was all about cooking!

My father was a very passionate cook before he passed away several months ago.
He loved to use his Weber BBQ grill and made us the most delicious food with it all year long, even in winter when it was snowing. ;-)
Therefore, we invited him to a Weber grill class where he could learn some new techniques we could all profit from. He was very much looking forward to this event which he attended just one week before he died completely unexpected.
This was my birthday card for him together with the voucher for the grill class:

Halloween Frame!

I was so well prepared with lots of sweets on Halloween's eve but there were no kids coming the whole evening. I think because of our remote location and that there aren't little kids living around.
So, I made some more Halloween cards while I was waiting:

Pumpkin Party!

My third Halloween Card is a bunch of pumkins under a tree.
I used the tree stamp from the Stampin'up set "In Gedanken bei dir" and brown ink. For the meadow I just cut a green strap of paper to create blades of grass.

The Wicked Witch!

My second Halloween card is another witch in front of three flags. I used again on of my Nesting Scallop die cuts as well as an embossing folder for the orange flag.

Black moon rising!

Here in Austria we don't celebrate Halloween. Therefore, I haven't made any Halloween cards so far. Until yesterday, when I saw how many Halloween challenges there are out there. That got me thinking. As I have some fall/halloween paper which I haven't used at all, I didn't watch TV last night but created my first Halloween cards. As it was so much fun, I made six pieces. Now, I have to look for a funny poem because I will send them to some of my friends with little children.
Let's see what they will say. ;-)

I used one of my Nesting Scallops die cut for the background of the witch. I kept this card very simple and only used black ribbon, a black flower and an orange button.
I was surprised when I saw, that I have a "Happy Halloween" sentiment in my Stampin'up Collection.

Happy Birthday, Darling!

Our daughter turned one year last weekend and I had to make a birthday card for her, last minute.
As it was a card for her, our little angel, it had to be something special, which made it even more difficult.

The little girl is from the Stampin'up set "All in the family". The crown is from a set of brads. On the left top corner I used ribbon. To get a special effect for the number one I used an embossing folder. The Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped on a piece of die cut from my "Nesting frames". For the bottom right corner I used a corner punch with a butterfly.

Fishin' Around by Stampin'up

When I saw the stamp "Fishin' around" in the new Stampin'up catalogue, I knew I had to buy as my grandfather and uncle have fish tanks since I can remember. My brother used to have gold fishes too when we were younger. When my brother turned 31 last weekend I made him my first "fishin' around" card with a real tank:

I got inspired by the cards posted at Splitcoaststampers.

Birthday greetings from Nina!

In Austria we had a fabulous crafting magazine called "kleinformat". Unfortunately, the owner had to stop printing it this summer and continues with a blog. In one of the editions I got, I read an article about "Nina and Other Little Things". I liked Nina immediately! It turned out that you can order a Nina stamp online. I did so, and made a birthday card for my best friend using the Nina stamp.

I hope you like the stamp too:

Greetings from Nina

I used the "Hearts a flutter" dies to create the garland.

My first diaper cake!

A friend of mine welcomed a baby boy last week. As two other friends and I will visit the new arrival in two weeks I thought of a present. At the moment I love to use my "Zoo babies" stamps from stampin'up.
Scanning various scrapbooking galleries for inspiration, I saw a project at http://remarkablycreated.com/ where Janet Wakeland made a diaper cake using the Zoo Babies as decoration. Immediately, I knew that want to try one too and that this will be my present for Gerwin.

Here is my version, a three layer diaper cake:

3 stacks high cake

Stamps

I used a criss-cross stitch to create separated segments between the animals and make it look like crafted sleeves. On top, I sewed a blue ribbon on every sleeve. The cherry on top are the two blue flags saying "a gift for baby" and the dummies.
