Candles, candles, candles!

What's a birthday without candles? Only half as interesting for my kids for example. I present you another card of mine using the "Family Owl" from Marianne Design and a balloon from the Lil'Inker Designs "Balloon Greetings" stamps and die set.

I am already making easter cards and I came over a beautiful patterned paper which is covered with spring related words. You will see that paper again in the next couple of weeks.

Lots of Ribbon!

I don't use ribbon that much, so when I saw the card from Cristina Kowalczyk I knew what to do with my different kind of ribbons. As I have so much ribbon in all kind of blue tones I made a male card and surprised my grandfather with it to his 87th birthday.

Happy beads!

For this birthday card I used different washi tapes for the background and threaded alpha beads on a yellow/white twine. It is my first card where I used the alpha pearls. I was inspired by a card from Stampelomi.

Welcome, Felix!

My best friend and her husband welcomed their second child, a boy call Felix, on Sep 9.
Beside a huge diaper cake I made them this CAS card inspired by Katherine Shudrova.

Happy Birthday, ladybird!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, using the three panel geometric optics with big flowers.
The brighter flowers are made with the heat embossing technique as well as the sentiment. The other flowers are simply stamped with red ink. I wanted to have some contrast on the card.
To top it off, I stuck 2 buttons with white lace and a big ladybird on it. I think it is a perfect card for a birthday girl in May.

7th Anniversary Card

My partner and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this year. I was looking for some inspiration and found a lovely card at Pinterest by Weekend Warrior.
It is my first card where I used ink on an embossing folder. It turned out great. Furthermore, I fetched my sewing machine to frame the card with red twine.

Buttons, Brads and Bling!

For this card I got inspired by Kath on Pinterest. I always wanted to use my old newspaper designer paper and found the perfect layout for it.

The stamped and die cut flowers are from the Sizzix set "Flowers, Lovely". Furthermore, I used a stamp die cut and the flags are from the Stampin'up framelits set "Hearts a flutter".
I competed the card with buttons, brads, pearls, twine and embellishments.

Happy Birthday, Erika!

It's been a long time since my last post. The reason is that my kids and I have constantly been sick since Christmas. With two little sick kids at home I had no energy in the evenings for my hobbies. I just went straight to bed.

But here is a new card of mine which I made for my aunt who's birthday is in two weeks.

Wheely birthday greetings in blue!

For my grandfather's 86th birthday I made the following card, as he is still going by bike to town, etc.
I got inspired by a card from www.stampinpretty.comhttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2359574.
I used the hot embossing technique for the bicycle stamp and added a brad to the back wheel. I run a burlap banner through the blue button.

Birthday greetings from Nina!

In Austria we had a fabulous crafting magazine called "kleinformat". Unfortunately, the owner had to stop printing it this summer and continues with a blog. In one of the editions I got, I read an article about "Nina and Other Little Things". I liked Nina immediately! It turned out that you can order a Nina stamp online. I did so, and made a birthday card for my best friend using the Nina stamp.

I hope you like the stamp too:

Greetings from Nina

I used the "Hearts a flutter" dies to create the garland.

Party People!

For this funny birthday card I combined my "All in the family" and "Party Hearty" stamp set from Stampin'up. To get all the different colored hats it took longer than I thought. One reason was, that the ink didn't dry very fast on this white paper of mine. I found a suitable brad for every hat and inked the edges of the white paper with pink. Finally, a button as ornament.

Happy Birthday frame!

My best friend is also the god mother of our child and therefore I wanted to make her a present including pictures with the both of them.
As I enjoyed making the canvas "Bora Bora" for my friend's wedding, I decided to make a birthday frame.
Again, I used a square streched canvas and sprayed it white before I decorated it.

I used a lot of yellow paper and washi tape, to show that her birthday is in the middle of summer.

Butterflies are her favourite animals, therefore I put 3 butterflies and also 3 flowers on it.
To receive a 3D-effect I clued the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on 3 strings of lace.

I like the outcome:

Happy Frame, Happy Birthday
