I never had a cat or dog before but when we move in our new house we will get a cat eventually, as my husband and kids demand one. So I am a cat person I guess:
Today, I show you again one of my oldest birthday card design. When I want to make a card using ribbon and buttons, mostly I chose this design because it is clean and simple and suits every time.
I tried a new technique: coloring my embossing folders first and then put the white paper in it to run it through the big shot. I used 3d Pearl Paint from Action. As you can't use them to create "nuvo drops" because they are bad quality I was looking for another way to use it.
I stamped two different thank you stamps from Create a Smile Stamps on the Lil'inker designs Silly Stitched Square Die and added a cute owl from "I'm owl yours" by My Favorite Things to it. I used an embossing folder of Sizzix for the textured background.
To create this card I borrowed an embossing folder from my best friend Christine and colored it with my Distress Inks to create an ombre background. Behind the big heart I stamped a "word cloud" from Stempelbox.
I wanted to use the "Fairy Friends" stamp set from Lawn Fawn again and used the Mama Elephant Thanks die with the embossed impressions technique I saw by Jennifer McGuire.
