Will we build a snow man this winter?

I start to wonder if we will be able to build a snow man this winter in our garden. No snow in sight.

With my recently bought SIZZIX framelits and clear stamp set "mittens and snow globe" I made a second card using the snow man. The snowflake stamp is from DEPOT. I used the heat embossing technique for them and added some pearls in the middle.

This is my second cardwhere I used the trees from the Sizzix framelits and clear stamp set "mittens and snow globe" and colored them with my copics. I used an embossing folder with dots and added an embossing diffuser to place the rub-on sentiment clearly legible. I love it! Now I have to decide who gets it!

Birthday in Green!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and made my own inspiration of it as I looking for a new way to use my washi tapes. I especially liked the idea of putting the washi tape on the cardstock first and emboss it afterwards.
The Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch is one of my favourite punches I have. I added a coat-hanger embellishment to fix the banner with the sentiment on the card. I like the outcome so much that I already made more cards in other colors.

Christmas icons!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest by AcarrdianCards. As I have now a set of christmas punches I tried such a card myself. Furthermore, I used my postage stamp die cut for the colored background of each icon. The sentiment is a rub-on by Kaisercraft.

Hearts a flutter - Birthday wishes!

My cousin recently celebrated her 30th birthday with a big party for all her friends and relatives. For this occasion I even hat to make a more beautiful card than before. I chose some very colorful patterned paper, added lots of pearls and the sentiment and digits are created with the heat embossing technique. The hearts and banners are from the Stampin'up set "Hearts a flutter".
I was inspired by a card seen on Pinterest.

Christmas in Red!

I hardly use any christmas paper for my christmas cards, so I thought I have to change that fact with this card. The stamps I used are from a stamp set purchase by Depot.

While waiting for the first snow this year, I already made some cards with lots of snow flakes.
The snow flake stamps and the snow globe die on this card are from the Sizzix set "mittens & snow globe". I used the heat embossing technique to create the snow flakes.
The penguin stamp is from Small Stamps Nr. HOTP-1128.

Floral Birthday Wishes!

I have a set of die cut flowers from Sizzix and haven't used them much before. One day, I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest using a similar flower die cut, so I tried it:

I think the pink bow really makes the difference!

This is one of my favourite card templates for a clean and simple card. It is done fast and easy, including the sewing, and looks great, I think! I got this idea from a card I saw at the website from herzgluecksgeschenk.

Wheely birthday greetings in blue!

For my grandfather's 86th birthday I made the following card, as he is still going by bike to town, etc.
I got inspired by a card from www.stampinpretty.comhttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2359574.
I used the hot embossing technique for the bicycle stamp and added a brad to the back wheel. I run a burlap banner through the blue button.

Happy Birthday, Princess!

My daughter was invited to a birthday party of her best friend. She got 2.
As she is a real girl who loves Hello Kitty and stuff like this, I made her the following card:

I got really cute girly foam stickers where I chose a castle for the centre of my card. The yellow background is also die cut out of foam. The word "princess" was cut out from a "Scrabble" cardstock.

I am back!!!

It's been three long months since I posted my last card. The reason is that I didn't find the time for it due to the birth of my second child. Meanwhile, he is eight weeks old and still sleeping a lot. My daughter started with kindergarden, so I hope I will find more time again to make cards and participate in challenges again.
Before the birth of my son I made lots of birthday cards knowing that I won't find time for it for quite a while. And voilà, I was right. Now, those cards are nearly used up, so I have some pressure to make new ones, as there are some important birthdays coming up in the next couple of weeks.

But, I am not boring you with my thoughts and I present you a new card in my next post.

Sunny Yellow with Ribbon!

Finally, we had the first days of summer with real hot weather and I got inspired to make the following card using my honeycomb embossing folder again:

My stock of paper is so big that I didn't have a problem to find a couple of suitable sheet where I could cut out the honeycombs.

For our 5th anniversary I made the following card for my partner:

I just draw three lines and cut out lots of little red hearts from a wedding paper I got. As I didn't have a suitable stamp set at that time I wrote the sentiment with tiny stickers. I saw a similar card on Pinterest.

Lots of Bannerets!

I got a new stamp set from Stampin'up called "Im Fähnchenfieber" and made a birthday card series of four with it on one evening.
Today, I want to share with you the first card of my series:

I used two red washi tapes on top and bottom and highlighted two bannerets each with a rhinestone.
I really like the color combo of this card!

First Mother and Daughter creations!

Yesterday evening I made Mother's Day cards for my two grandmothers, my mom and my mother-in-law.
My little daughters favorite activity at the moment is painting. So I thought I use parts of her very first drawings for the cards and leave the rest of the layout the same.

Here, you can see a picture will all four cards:

Aren't they beautiful? For the sentiment I used the heat embossing technique once more.
And here are the four cards one by one:

Grandma's Garden Scenery!

My beloved Grandma had her birthday recently and I made her the following card:

I built the fence myself with a suitable designer paper. The basket with tulips is a stamp I colored with my copic markers and added a rhinestone on the bow. The three pink flowers are made of wood and the flower stem is cut out with a die cut. The little rabbit on the lower right corner is a sticker as well as the flowers surrounding the sentiment. The butterfly is once again made with my monarch butterfly punch from Martha Stewart.

Only Washi Tape, no Designer Paper!

I needed a birthday card for a relative of mine who turned 50 last weekend. As I haven't use Washi Tapes for a while I made this card only with Washi Tapes and used no designer paper at all. I was inspired by a card from  "A Christy Production" I saw on Pinterest.

For the numerics I used the heat embossing technique and red powder. The buttons and the brad give the card the final touch.

Birthday wishes in green and red!

I am totally into heat embossing at the moment. I tried out this new "herbal" stamp with green embossing powder. I bought a birthday die cut from Elizabeth Craft Design recently. The writing is colored with red embossing powder and the green butterfly matches perfectly with the stamp!

Butterflies in spring!

For this butterfly card I was inspired by a card from KT Hom Designs I saw on Pinterest as I was looking for inspirations for my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I got the perfect structured paper for it too. I think it really looks as the butterflies are flying around the branch and the leaves.
In my opinion it perfectly fits as a spring birthday card as in our gardens the butterflies are already flying around.

Happy Birthday, Opa!

My grandfather turned 86 years today! I am happy you are still with us! Reason for a special birthday card.
Once again, I used the heat embossing technique. This time for the black numbers on his card.
The black powder contains some silver flakes as well, this is why it shimmers so beautiful!
I also used two embossing folders on the silver/grey stripes.

First Heat Embossing Birthday card!

For my birthday, I got an heat embossing dryer and some colors. Unfortunately, it took a while until it was delivered. Now, I can't get enough of it and all my recent cards have at least one heat embossing element on it.
This card was made for my aunts birthday this week:

The pink flowers and the sentiment are created with a pink embossing powder. The two smaller flowers have a pink fabric button in the centre and the big flower a green heat embossing dot.

The color combination is perfect for a spring birthday card!
